There's been a thing or two going on in the Furnell household as of late.
This is the very much abbreviated version of it all:

We're less than a week away from our first interview in the Home Study process!
With that comes a flurry of thoughts and emotions.
We are happy to be getting started and making steps that move us forward on the journey.

By the bedroom lightswitch are three rather extensive lists.
One of them is a list of 'moving' projects we still need to get done; many before the Home Visit. Another is a list of homeschool preparations that will need to be in place by August. And last, but not least, is a list of adoption To Dos (things that must be written, filled out, read, turned in, etc.).

My dad replenished our supply of Amish colored popcorn,
which we first found while in Mt. View and have been eating a lot of lately (we love it!).
There's been a bit of an increase in the 'popcorn-and-movie' nights since we started moving, doing paperwork, and completing 'adoption educational requirements'.

Still moving...shifting...sorting...reorganizing...unpacking...
We are getting some things up on the walls, and it is starting to feel like 'home'.
One of the first things we found a place for was this picture frame
with spots for all three of our children...
the two at home and the one we're working to bring home.
It serves as a reminder for us each time we see it to pray for our Little One.

We are regularly looking for creative, effective ways to fundraise.
This is one we're researching right now.

Even with all that's going on, we are still finding time to enjoy one another.
And is there really anything more enjoyable than a little PlayMobil war....???

So thankful for time together for Sunday afternoon swimming (thanks to my precious aunt)!
Like I said, "there's been a thing or two going on in the Furnell household"!
Tonight, we sat down as a family and watched the story of John Bunyan together.
Remarkable.
It was the "Kick Off" to our next read aloud together. We are beginning The Little Pilgrim's Progress this week for our bedtime reading with the boys...
I've never read it. Love starting a new book with them.
A new adventure.
And I love that God has allowed me to share the adventure of following Him with my three fellas ~ love them fiercely.
I am inspired by Bunyan's journey and find these words
of his an encouragement as we traverse on ours...
"“This hill, though high, I covet to ascend;
The difficulty will not me offend.
For I perceive the way to life lies here.
Come, pluck up, heart;
let's neither faint nor fear."
